Over the past few years I kept noticing the social / fashion /color trends before they hit the mainstream. I always said it in my head and then when the apparition came true--wish I said it aloud.
My forecast for fall 2010:
Calculated consumerism. Disco Gypsy. Warm Grey.

Tim Love Lee
My name is Tim Lee aka Tim “Love” Lee. I am the founder, co-owner and creative director of the Tummy Touch Music Group, a collection of music companies including record labels, a music publisher, an artist management company and a library music company.
I am also a musician, record producer and DJ.
I do a radio show every Tuesday evening on East Village Radio.
On Monday nights I spin records for models, millionaires, movie moguls and arms dealers at the Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar. It is a constant source of amusement and rent money.
I like cycling and synthesizers.
I was born in 1970 in Cambridge, UK and now live in Brooklyn, NY, USA.

Yesterday I recorded myself while I Djed at TopShop. I like this gig because its relatively no pressure and I can play whatever. There are even a few natural "mistakes" but no trainwrecks. The progression of this mix is jams, then 70s, then house. Its about 1:45:00 long!
Krunk Pony - What Really goes on in TopShop Live Mix
And because I did this mix in serato only I was able to access the History Review List so here is a complete track listing. I just downloaded MixList and I will try working with that next time. It has an "Intelligent Playlisting" algorithm that lists only the tracks that you've played and not those which you have only previewed. When I play clubs and bars at night I am more picky about what I play than a daytime in-store so I preview more.

"design “gurus” you look to for advice (i.e. who are the equivalents
of a Malcom Gladwell in the design field)"
That was a pretty evocative call to action for me cause I am a big fan of Malcolm Gladwell (fellow Jamaican) (kind of). This also made me realize that I still haven't read, his book The Tipping Point
I never really made note of which people were really influencing me in the design field so I found the task a bit fun.
