Trend forecast 2010
Over the past few years I kept noticing the social / fashion /color trends before they hit the mainstream. I always said it in my head and then when the apparition came true--wish I said it aloud.
My forecast for fall 2010:
Calculated consumerism. Disco Gypsy. Warm Grey.

East Village Radio: Two for Tennis
Anyone who knows me intimately knows that I am jumping out of of my wingtips excited to be guesting on Two for Tennis with Tim Love Lee and Coach. Tuesday June 22nd between 6 - 8pm. In respect to the theme of his show, I'm going to bringing records that lean towards the "weird" or "unique" side of funky dance music. I'll be sharing rare grooves that are the jewels of my collection. This is how you get involved:
- COME BY THE STUDIO on 1st on 1st and say 'what up' live!
- AIM the EVR studio at “eastvillageradio”
- Phone in on 212 254 7104
- Log on and listen live from the EVR Home Page for the Show Two for Tennis.

What Really Goes on in TopShop
Yesterday I recorded myself while I Djed at TopShop. I like this gig because its relatively no pressure and I can play whatever. There are even a few natural "mistakes" but no trainwrecks. The progression of this mix is jams, then 70s, then house. Its about 1:45:00 long!
Krunk Pony - What Really goes on in TopShop Live Mix
And because I did this mix in serato only I was able to access the History Review List so here is a complete track listing. I just downloaded MixList and I will try working with that next time. It has an "Intelligent Playlisting" algorithm that lists only the tracks that you've played and not those which you have only previewed. When I play clubs and bars at night I am more picky about what I play than a daytime in-store so I preview more.

Design Influencers
"design “gurus” you look to for advice (i.e. who are the equivalents
of a Malcom Gladwell in the design field)"
That was a pretty evocative call to action for me cause I am a big fan of Malcolm Gladwell (fellow Jamaican) (kind of). This also made me realize that I still haven't read, his book The Tipping Point
I never really made note of which people were really influencing me in the design field so I found the task a bit fun.
